Editorial & Coupon Verification Policy | CouponsBank

Our Quality Guarantee: The web is full of dummy “coupon codes” designed only to earn clicks. At CouponsBank, our editorial team and automated crawlers constantly test and audit coupon codes to ensure you never waste time with dead codes.

1. Coupon Sourcing Channels

We ingest and discover deals through four authenticated streams:

Direct API Integration: Direct API feeds from premier affiliate networks (including Cuelinks) and authorized merchant marketing databases.
Merchant Partnerships: Exclusive coupon codes negotiated directly with store marketing teams.
Newsletter & Promotional Audits: Verified brand email blasts and promotional circulars.
Community Submissions: Shopper feedback and deal submissions validated by our editors.

2. The 4-Step Verification Process

Before any coupon is assigned a verified badge, it goes through our systematic protocol:

Step 1: Code Testing at Checkout: Our team regularly inputs promo codes into merchant checkouts to confirm the discount registers properly and calculates the expected deduction.
Step 2: Terms and Conditions Scrutiny: We identify and clearly display minimum spend amounts, category limitations, brand exclusions, and user restrictions (e.g., “First Order Only”).
Step 3: Expiration Date Validation: We verify the merchant's start and end times to prevent showing expired codes.
Step 4: Continuous Automated Audits: Data feeds are re-checked every 10 minutes. Expired promotions are automatically decommissioned.

3. Handling Expired & Invalid Offers

Despite rigorous verification, merchants occasionally terminate promotions early without notice due to stock shortages or budget caps. When an offer expires:

It is promptly removed from our active category and store listings.
Any deal detail page for an expired promotion is clearly marked to avoid user confusion.
Alternative active coupons for the same brand are immediately recommended.

4. User Reporting & Community Feedback

If you ever encounter a coupon code on CouponsBank that did not apply as expected, please let us know immediately via our Contact Us page. Our team investigates every reported code within 24 hours.
